And with a dedicated on–board ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) hyper processor, the scanner delivers optimum levels of detail and gradation reproduction.

Versatile Film Scanning

Extendable Lid Design
The Perfection V350 Photo's innovative two–way design (portrait or landscape) gives you the ability to place the scanner anywhere on your desk yet still have full and easy access. With the lid hinge positioned across the length of the scanner, it opens just like a photocopier.
The scanner's lid also folds out full 180–degrees, which delivers the ability to scan portions of large format documents up to virtually any size.
4800 x 9600dpi Optical Resolution
Underpinning the Perfection V350 Photo's high level of performance is its 4800dpi Matrix CCD (Charge Coupled Device) and Micro Lens technology combination. Adding even greater scanning resolution power is the scanner's ability to move the optical carriage at 9600dpi with Micro Step Drive — a feature that has consistently provided Epson Perfection scanner users with brilliantly clear images exhibiting high colour consistency.
High–Speed Scanning
With numerous technologies that enhance the speed of data processing and transmission, the Perfection V350 Photo has been designed to provide outstanding quality scanning without compromising on speed. The first of these technologies is a high–speed PC–centric ASIC (Application–Specific Integrated Circuit) that processes image data at incredibly high speeds.
With an advanced moving carriage type TPU, the Perfection V350 Photo achieves brighter and more evenly dispersed luminance, which are essential requirements in improving scan uniformity and film/negative scanning speed.
Adding even further to the high speed capabilities of the Perfection V350 Photo is its standard USB 2.0 port. Aside from providing broad connectivity support, the USB 2.0 port ensures a high speed transmission rate of the massive amounts of scanned image data captured and processed by the scanner.
