Featuring Sony's new 3 ClearVid™ CMOS Sensor imaging system for improved levels of colour reproduction and a unique Enhanced Imaging Processor, the HDRFX7 delivers superior High Definition 1080i video images with stunning colour realism and smear free images.

Designed for the enthusiast videographer, FX7 includes manual controls for zoom, focus, shutter speed, white balance, iris and gain. The Carl Zeiss® Vario-Sonnar T Lens with Extra Low Disperson glass reduces lens flare and ghosting for more precise images without distorted colour fringing. The 20x optical zoom allows you to get close to the action from a distance and a newly incorporated digital extender function can magnify up to 1.5 times achieving 30x optical zoom without significant loss of picture quality. Additionally, Super SteadyShot® optical image stabiliser is on board to help reduce shakey images in high zoom situations.

Unique Sony functions such as Dual Record and Smooth Slow Record are achieved thanks to the high speed data processing of the 3 ClearVid™ CMOS Sensor. Dual Record allows simultaneous video shooting and 1.2MP still photo capture, while the Smooth Slow Record function enables 6 seconds of recorded footage to playback over 24 seconds of slow motion video - perfect for analysing sporting techniques or used as a special video effect.

A 3.5" High Resolution LCD SwivelScreen is incorporated with Clear Photo Plus coating making it easier to achieve shots from difficult angles, while the high resolution viewfinder is useful to check composition, focus and image colour. Simultaneous or independent use of the viewfinder and LCD SwivelScreen can be selected.
